I liked the idea of pictures in this book, but ultimately, the "how-to" left me wanting more. I felt it went into enough detail such things as, how to make natural-looking rocks and how to put them in the rubber coating that does not wash away.

A book of good idea, however.

I enjoyed this book, it fits my skill level I would describe as intermediate. I have not had a pond, but have maintained a 110-gallon aquarium inside for about twenty years.

The information is presented in an organized manner with both color photos an/dbw sketches. Describes the design of the pond, design, construction (with some safety tips), plants, fish (but not the details of keeping fish), filters, maintenance, and has many color photos.

This is a good informative book, if you're researching the idea of having a water feature in your garden. I am a beginner, just thinking about building a stream and a pond. This book explains everything about the materials needed for the design and construction. I thought it was very good.

This was a good book if you waterfalls big time. I was looking for something a little simpler.
