The best way to see if a landscape contractor is reliable is to get names and phone numbers of previous customers and call them. Make sure the unit and see the jobs they have done to see if that's what you like.

You need to know that the city Department of the city where you live, regulates and licenses for landscape contractors.

Cities not licensed contractors, which would be a waste of time. Go to their website and look under the state contractor licenses.
There should be a search bar that lets you put your # on it and show you the current status of the license.
